Wednesday, May 13, 2020 – Four more Kenyans have succumbed to Covid 19 bringing the death toll to 40 people.
Three deaths were reported in Nairobi and one in Mombasa.
The number of confirmed cases has also increased by 22 to 737 according to Health CAS Rashid Aman
The new cases are from Nairobi (10) Mombasa (8) and Bomet (1)
“Bomet joins the ranking of counties that have recorded a Covid-19 positive case.”
“Now we have 20 Counties that have confirmed cases of the disease,” he said.
In terms of gender, 17 are male while 5 are female.
On the bright side, 22 more patients have been discharged bringing the total number of recoveries to 281.
Meanwhile, Dr. Aman has warned business owners, mainly in the coastal area, to refrain from hiking commodity prices.
“It is immoral for businesses to hike prices.”
“Vendors should also be considerate,” he said.
