Monday May 12, 2020 – Deputy President William Ruto has issued a stern warning to President Uhuru Kenyatta following the removal of Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, as Senate Majority Leader and Susan Kihika as Majority Chief Whip in the Senate.
In a reshuffle conducted at State House on Monday, Murkomen was replaced by West Pokot Senator, Samuel Poghisio, and Kihika was replaced by Muranga Senator, Irungu Kangata.
The changes were made by President Uhuru Kenyatta who refused to consult his Deputy, William Ruto.
Ruto, through his foot soldiers, dismissed the changes saying the party refused to do proper consultations with the National Governing Committee NEC of the Jubilee Coalition which runs the party’s governing organs.
One of the foot soldiers, who dismissed the changes, is Nandi Senator, Samson Cherargei, who said that the changes that were made in State House were illegal and don’t hold any water.
Cherargei said as Jubilee members, they will move to court to oppose the changes.
