Saturday, May 23,2020 – Fast fading political analyst, Mutahi Ngunyi, has said that the removal of Tharaka Nithi Senator, Prof Kithure Kindiki, as Deputy Speaker in the Senate has exposed Deputy President William Ruto’s ‘imaginary’ numerical strength in the Senate and the National Assembly.
Sharing his thoughts via social media immediately after Kindiki was removed from the senior position in the Senate on Friday, Ngunyi said failure by Tanga Tanga to marshal enough support for Kindiki was nothing but a disaster for William Ruto.
Ngunyi observed that the amorphous Jubilee wing was loud outside Parliament but failed to use their energy to turn tables around when needed most.
Kindiki was ousted by 54 Senators while only 7 opposed his impeachment.
This, according to Ngunyi, was a big shame to Ruto because he has no real numbers to oppose his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ngunyi also said that Uhuru now the perfect opportunity to impeach his deputy because he has demonstrated he controls Parliament and any motion he raises can go through as fast as possible.
“KindikiOuster was a disaster for Ruto.”
“The Ruto enterprise has feet of clay and the mouth of a parrot.”
“Even my grandmother would have gotten better votes than 54 versus seven in Senate.”
“Kindiki should have resigned. Next move should be the recall of GEMA home guards. Then impeachment,” Mutahi said.
