Wednesday May 27, 2020 – President Uhuru Kenyatta should not uncork the champagne just yet in his war with Deputy President William Ruto.
This is after it emerged that Ruto has employed another strategy to counter Uhuru’s purge against him and his allies.
According to sources, Ruto has allegedly told his allies, especially the nominated legislators, to dump him to fool Uhuru and in the process save their jobs.
Nominated Senators allied to Ruto, who absconded State House meeting, are already facing the disciplinary committee today to decide their fate.
A close ally of the DP was overheard saying that the abrupt change of mind of nominated legislators had Ruto’s blessings.
The vocal legislator said that members were asked to lie low, at least for now, to spare their jobs in the wake of the heightened purge against Jubilee legislators disloyal to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the source, a time will come when these same members will show where their real allegiance is.
