Tuesday, May 26, 2020 – Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a suspected serial killer thought to the responsible for gruesome murders of women in Isiolo County.
The suspect, whose identity has not been revealed to the public, was arrested by a multi-agency team in Timau, Meru County, before being taken to Isiolo Police Station where he is presently being held.
The suspect is accused of killing two women in 2019, in separate instances, and cutting their private parts before burying them.
The bodies of two other women, murdered similarly and both linked to the suspect were recovered in Bulapesa and Wabera according to police in Isiolo
Isiolo County Commissioner, Harman Shambi, urged members of the public to report similar bizarre cases of murder to help in the investigations.
The police are searching for more bodies because they still believe the suspect killed more women in the area.
