Monday May 18, 2020 – Health Chief Administrative Secretary, Rashid Aman, has announced that 25 more people have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total tally of confirmed cases in Kenya to 912.

The CAS said the cases emerged after 1,139 samples were taken and tests conducted over the last 24 hours.

Of the 25, 23 are men and two females.

The youngest case is 22 years old and the oldest 50 years.

23 of the new cases are Kenyans while 2 are Somali nationals.

53 truck drivers who were tested turned positive.

They were all Tanzanian nationals.

The CAS said that they were all referred back to Tanzania.

22 patients have also been discharged bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 336.

There were no fatalities reported on Monday during the Covid19 update.
