Sunday, May 17, 2020 – Activist Boniface Mwangi is known to speak truth to power and never misses an opportunity to call out those abusing their power.
From blocking VIPs using the wrong side of the road to calling out rogue cops harassing youths in Eastlands, Bonnie, as he is fondly referred to is the personification of courage.
The former Starehe MP aspirant has demonstrated once again that he fears nobody after he reminded former Kiambu Governor, William Kabogo, about the cold blooded murder of University of Nairobi student, Mercy Keino, who was killed in 2011.
Mercy was invited by a friend to a bash in a private residence along Waiyaki Way where Kabogo was in attendance.
According to reports, she had one too many and started being a nuisance.
Kabogo’s bodyguards are said to have escorted her out of the house and she was later found dead along Waiyaki Way after she was allegedly run over by vehicles.
While Kabogo, who was adversely mentioned in Mercy’s death, was cleared by an inquest into the matter in 2016, it seems that it will never go away.
This is after the flamboyant businessman took to twitter to state that the Coronavirus has made him realize the value of having friends around.
Boniface replied to him stating that “How I wish Mercy Keino friends looked out for her before her untimely death.
