Sunday May 31, 2020 – Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, was forced to leave a burial in Nyeri County on Saturday after police stormed in and accused the MP of not maintaining one-metre distancing.
Addressing journalists after he was chased away from the Nyeri MCA’s wife burial, Kuria stated that police were under instructions not to let him speak during the burial.
“Imagine the husband of the deceased had not delivered his eulogy before they stormed the event,” Kuria said.
After leaving the burial ceremony, the MP visited Karatina Market where he was received by a multitude of traders who shouted his name in praise.
He traversed the market greeting the traders and engaging them on the machinations within Jubilee Party.
Many of them expressed their love for Deputy President William Ruto and displeasure in the way he had been sidelined
“Tell him to persevere, even when they embarrass him tell him to stay silent, we have his back,” one of the men said.
Dr William Ruto has a cult following in Muranga, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Nyandarua, Meru, Embu and Tharaka Nithi Counties.
