Friday May 22, 2020 – Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, has accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of turning Kenya into a dictatorship.
Kuria, who was speaking in Parliament Buildings, was reacting to the President’s ongoing purge against allies of Deputy President William Ruto.
He added that Uhuru was leading the country with an iron fist and brutalising his critics.
Kuria, who addressed the press on Friday, said that he is ready to pay the ultimate to save the country from dictatorship.
“It is not about the Deputy President and President, it is about righteousness and evil Mungu na shetani (God and satan)…Kenya is officially under a dictator,” Kuria said.
Kuria also claimed that Kieni MP, Kanini Kega, has drafted an impeachment motion against Ruto and plans were in the offing to kick out the DP.
The vocal Jubilee MP noted the Deputy President was already an impeached man and the motion to oust him was not necessary.
“I know Kanini Kega has a ready motion for the impeachment of Deputy President of William Ruto and I am just wondering and ask Kanini, Ruto was fired Uhuru Kenyatta long time ago and Ruto has accepted he is just waiting for our term to end, so why are you firing him twice?”
“It is a waste of time,” he said.
