Thursday, May 21, 2020 – A businessman from Baringo is the talk of town after he splashed Ksh 2 million on a project for his in-laws as a token of appreciation for giving him a ‘wonderful; wife.
The businessman by the name Charles Kipngók,who hails from Cheplambus, spent the money on a borehole to ease the in-laws’ water troubles.
KIpngók, who has been married to his wife, Lornah, for three decades said he wanted to return the favour to the community that gifted him a wife.
“I would appreciate it more if the local residents used the borehole for irrigation purposes so that they can produce more food to feed their families,” he said.
He revealed that he spent Sh 2 million on digging the borehole, installing a water panel, acquiring three 10, 000-litre tanks, buying piping equipment and labour.
Area MCA, Sylas Tochim, who graced the handover ceremony lauded the businessman for his generosity.
KIpngók is a commercial tea grower and dairy farmer.
