Friday May 15, 2020 – President Uhuru Kenyatta has recommended the removal of three Jubilee Party MPs from their seats in the National Assembly for allegedly abandoning the Jubilee Government’s agenda.
According to impeccable sources, Uhuru has okayed the removal of Mumias East MP, Benjamin Washiali, as Majority Chief Whip, Runyenjes MP, Cecily Mbarire, as Deputy Chief Whip and Kikuyu MP, Kimani Ichungwa, as Chairman of the Budget Committee.
On Thursday, Jubilee Party cartels met at State Hosue and resolved to remove the three for abandoning the Jubilee Party agenda and engaging in early 2022 presidential campaigns.
The removal of three MPs comes three days after Elgeyo Markwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, and Nakuru senator, Susan Kihika, were removed from their positions in the Senate.
Murkomen, who was the Majority leader in the Senate, was replaced by West Pokot Senator, Samuel Poghisio, while Kihika, who was Majority Chief Whip in the Upper House, was replaced by Muranga Senator, Irungu Kangata.
