Tuesday, May 12, 2020 – The late Tecra Muigai, the daughter of Keroche Breweries proprietors, Tabitha Karanja (CEO), and Mr. Joseph Karanja (Chairman) will be laid to rest inNaivasha in a private family ceremony.
According to the obituary published in the dailies, her final resting place will be in Naivasha, and the ceremony will be private.
“The Family of Tecra wishes to thank friends from far and wide for the deep outpouring of heartfelt condolences.”
“Tecra’s interment will be held at a private family ceremony,” read part of the obituary.
In the obituary, the family stated that Tecra ‘was passionate about her country Kenya and its people, and always advocated for equal opportunities for everyone,”
Tanzanian singer, Ben Pol, who is betrothed to Tecra’s sister, Anerlisa, was named as Tecra’s brother-in-law which confirms reports that Anerlisa and Ben Pol are married.
Tecra died on May 2nd, 2020, after what the Keroche Breweries board described as a ‘tragic accident’
It was reported that Tecra was living with her boyfriend, Omar Lali, in a private residence in Lamu where she fell from a staircase and injured herself.
She succumbed to her injures while receiving treatment in Nairobi Hospital.
Following her death, her boyfriend was arrested and is still in police custody as detectives continue with investigations into her death.
Until her death, she worked as the Strategy and Innovation Director at Keroche Breweries.
